Copper Tip Energy Services
Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by Copper Tip Energy Services Inc., 504 15 Avenue, Nisku, Alberta T9E 1R4, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through coppertipenergy.com, why we collect it, and what happens to it.
What we collect, and when
We collect personal information in three situations, and only when you choose to give it to us.
- Quote requests. Your name, company, email address, phone number, the service and region you are enquiring about, and whatever you write in the project details field.
- Job applications. Your name, email address, phone number, your answers to the application questions, and the résumé you upload.
- Automatically. Your IP address, when you submit either form.
We do not sell personal information.
What we do with it
Quote requests are emailed to the Copper Tip team responsible for that service and region, so we can respond to your enquiry. Job applications are emailed to our HR team, and a confirmation is emailed back to you.
Your IP address is used to limit how many times each visitor can submit a form in an hour, which is how we reduce automated abuse. It is held briefly for that purpose and then discarded.
We do not store your submission on this website
This website has no customer database. When you submit a form, the contents are passed to our email provider and delivered to a Copper Tip mailbox. Your résumé is sent as an email attachment. After delivery, your information lives in our email system rather than on this website.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and deliver these messages:
- Vercel — website hosting
- Resend — email delivery for both forms
- Upstash — the submission rate limiting described above
- Microsoft 365 — our email accounts, where messages are received and kept
- Sanity — the content system that stores our job postings. It holds no personal information about visitors.
Information processed outside Canada
These providers process and store information on servers located in the United States. That means your information may be accessible to authorities in that country under its laws. By submitting a form on this website, you consent to your information being processed outside Canada.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept for as long as we are dealing with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records.
Job applications, including résumés, are received by email and kept in our HR mailbox for as long as we may reasonably consider you for a role with us. We do not delete them on a fixed schedule.
You can ask us to delete your application at any time and we will. Email hr@coppertipenergy.com and we will confirm once it is done.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hr@coppertipenergy.com or write to us at the address at the top of this policy, and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Analytics and cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful. It records the page visited, the page that referred you, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and the type of device and browser you are using.
It does not set cookies, it does not follow you between websites, and we do not use advertising or marketing cookies anywhere on this website. Your IP address is used to derive the approximate location and is not stored by the analytics service.
We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load and respond for visitors. With each measurement it records the page, the speed measurements themselves, the page element they relate to, your connection type (such as 4G), your browser, device type and operating system, and your country. It does not set cookies and does not record anything that could identify you or link your visits together.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change. The date below shows when it was last revised.
