Our approach

Copper Tip Energy Services Inc. wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse using a keyboard, a screen reader, or magnification.

What we aim for

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a guide when building and updating this website. We are not claiming conformance with that standard.

What we have built in

• A skip link, so keyboard users can jump past the navigation to the page content
• One clear page heading per page
• Alternative text on photographs that carry information
• Visible focus outlines, so it is clear where you are on the page
• Keyboard operation of the photo galleries, including arrow keys to move between photographs and Escape to close
• Support for the reduced-motion setting, for visitors who have asked their device to limit animation

Where we know we fall short

Some of our older photographs do not have detailed alternative text, and our technical calculators have not been fully tested with screen readers. We are working through these as we update the site.
